How colorful and rich do these food pictures look though? That’s because most Vietnamese food is derived from fresh and healthy ingredients! Bon Banh Mi does not disappoint in this area and many more. The first time I went there I was truly blown away at how authentic the Vietnamese Ham and Pate banh mi was and just how fresh all of the ingredients were! All of their vegetables are super fresh and smell so amazing! I mean who can truly say that you’re eating a whole and flavorful dish that is delicious but also has nutritional value? This lady here and her family and friends of course! I had the pleasure of introducing Bon Banh Mi to my family in law and they absolutely loved it, and I want to share it with you all! If you’re local definitely come and check it out and tell them I brought you in. If you’re not then expand your horizons and try Vietnamese food! Because the first thing that my family in laws that hadn”t tried Vietnamese food said was that they loved how everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. Are you hungry yet?

I may be a little biased because I am Vietnamese but…Vietnamese food is my jam! Bon Banh Mi is my comfort food and go to restaurant because I know that the ethics of Vietnamese food is prepared with freshness and flavor (also my husband loves Vietnamese food too, and no he’s not Asian). But…sometimes I do like to mix it up with my American side! The Duck Fried Rice is a fan favorite of all and of course my whole family enjoys it as well! This is not truly authentic as I’ve never tasted anything like this amazing fried rice before. This fried rice is seriously bursting with the perfect amount of saltiness and perfect amount of flavors that it melts into your pallet like no other. No, seriously I rave about this and everyone that I bring there says I would go back anytime just to get that fried rice.

Vietnamese dishes

First of the banh mi is similar to a hoagie or a sub sandwich but the basic ingredients that come on every ban mi is the French bread, pickled carrots and Daikon, cilantro, jalapenos, and soy sauce. The meat base is something that varies – below pictured is the classic banh mi with the Vietnamese ham and pate!

My second favorite dish is the cold noodle salad, usually you can choose your meat and this one comes with two pork patties and of course Nuoc Cham which is the standard dressing that is oh so juicy! This noodle salad has a base of rice noodles (vermicelli noodles) and a bunch of fresh herbs and vegetables! If you’ve never tasted Chinese sausage, it’s a must and it’s in the noodle salad!

Also we can’t forget about the drinks, Bon Banh Mi has everything to drink there as well Vietnamese coffee, all your favorite draft beers as well as your IPA’s, or there’s always a special beer for those who like hoppy beers. There is also wine which I didn’t know that they offered until this recent visit. Vietnamese coffee is brewed individually to each cup and is a strong coffee using a condensed milk as the creamer and sugar. It’s for those who like coffee, like me! Bon Banh Mi is perfect for friends if you’re there to watch a game or a even with your family for a nice relaxing and chill time. They also have an outdoor area in off the main road on Ben Sawyer Blvd/Coleman Sawyer that is perfect for spring and summer days.

I rate this place a five star rating because of the great staff, amazing food, and such a chill atmosphere. I would recommend it for friends and family either for a weekday takeout or a family brunch or friends before or after the beach!
