Comforting easy scalloped potatoes recipe!
If you’ve ever been to Leon’s Oyster Shop located in Charleston, SC and you’ve had their beloved and widely known Scalloped Potatoes then you’ll know why this is a Charleston staple! We once waited for 45 minutes just on the scalloped potatoes alone, but it was well worth the wait for date night and I had to have my husband try it! Well, now I’ve mastered a super creamy, soft, and fluffy comfort recipe that mimics the scalloped potatoes from Leon’s and you can now have it at your home and pre-bake for dinner or dinner parties without the wait time of heading to a restaurant! But of course – go there for other things. Among them are the delish oyster Rockefeller and they do serve up some soft serve for the kiddies as well!
While you need very little ingredients and it’s pretty simple the wait is longer because it’s a labor of love! This comforting scalloped potatoes recipe is going to impress your guests as well as yourself! This recipe is a recipe made with lots of time and love and is worth the wait! If you try it tag me @beautyfoodymom or @hoangviton and use the #beautyfoodymom!
You can make this ahead and put it in the fridge and reheat it later and bring it to your next BBQ or dinner party or eat immediately after it is done!
