Whew, I just held my first bloggers event! I used to host events for charities and fundraisers before I was pregnant and now I’m back at it for this amazing community of Charleston bloggers. I would say it went very well! This was such a fun event and I had so much fun hosting the first Charleston Bloggers Shoot & Brunch! We enjoyed mimosas, great conversations, tips, getting to know one another a little more, and also learning more about each blogger and their goals and achievements! I’m so glad I met these cool girls who are like minded and are also bosses of their own dreams! I love getting to know new people and new bloggers and am open to any suggestions or discussion topics for next event! This event we covered a little bit about content creating, mostly I wanted to know each bloggers goals this time around. We touched based a little bit about “brand ambassadorships” and affiliate programs! The next topic of discussion will be creating content to grow your following. The next one will be a little more open to more than just the invitees! The room will be open to other bloggers I have not yet met!
The ladies that I invited to this event were mostly the ladies that I met from the Apricot Lane Charleston Bloggers and Bubbly night. They are such a fun, real, and easy going group and I’m excited to get to know each and every one of them better! Here are the list of bloggers that came to this event; Emma R, Emma W, Allison, Katie, the duo Ashley and Katherine, Alex, Rebecca, Christina, Chelsea, Heather, and myself!
I really love this down to earth group of girls who loves food just as much as I do and also meeting other bloggers while making a connection. I enjoyed every one of these personalities! I can’t wait to meet more of the blogger community and continue to grow and learn from one another as we all go through this journey as bloggers and just as humans! Looking forward to our next brunch!
Here is a list of some of the girls that attended this event, they are local Charleston bloggers:
what i wore
I wore a pretty cute silk floral dress that was high in the front and low in the back from Almost Pink Shop. Perfect for summer nights and days! I also paired it with tassel earrings from Almost Pink Shop as well! This little boutique is located on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina! Check out their Instagram page here for daily deals, steals, and outfit features! My shoes are from Versona Mount Pleasant.
Florals, peaches, and blush pinks are definitely in this Spring and I’m 100% enjoying it all! I love that this look can be a day or night look. You can transform the look with your makeup change up the bag and shoes and you’ve got yourself one of these most sweet and romantic looks for the evening or day.
I played really whispy colors for my makeup that were light and airy to have more of a bohemian effect.

the food & Event space
I really love this event space here! They also have a courtyard that has a barnyard style and feel with farm tables and picnic tables outside. Not only that but Edmunds Oast has an Exchange store where they sell wine and beer! On Thursdays they have wine tastings and on Friday’s they have Jazz and wine nights!
Their dining hall give me feels of something similar to that of Harry Potter’s dining hall! The dark ambiance and wooden textures and decor is great. Perfect for a romantic dinner our or a brunch day for sure! I had my event for a brunch and it was the perfect weather! It was super pretty and the staff was on point.
I need to brag on their staff because when we went there previously for dinner to check out the menu I was blown away by the amazing service and the accommodations because my husband and I really like spicy food so they made us a place of all things spicy! Which was super nice! They desert is to die for! The Strawberry Rhubarb is so so good and for brunch I had their Veggie Rice Bowl which is a great mix of Korean food and great for the vegetarian or vegans!
We rented out the Library Room for this event so make sure you check their restaurant out and event space if you need a place to host your event!
I chose a local floral company which is truly amazing! If you have wedding or any event that you’re planning I would highly recommend Charleston Flower Market for all of your floral needs! They do big bouquets, place settings, garlands, floral arrangements…anything you name it! They can make it happen! They even delivered all of decoration and helped decorate the event space at Edmunds Oast Restaurant.
Last, but not least is the snacks and desserts! We also chose another local company who is smaller but nothing of short! The bakery chef is seriously amazing and the cookies don’t just look good they also taste really great as well! If you’d like to see more of her work on her Instagram and you can send her a message there or through email for your event and cookies or cakes! These were seriously so good and I am looking forward to working with Brittney in the near future again!
